Collection: Ocak · Vintage Rugs

Ocak is the hearth: the heart of an Anatolian house, and the word for a family line. These are vintage village rugs knotted by hand between the 1950s and the 1980s in Kars, Van, Erzurum, Ağrı and Malatya, and kept by the hearth for generations.

Each rug is one of one, hand-washed in Kars, checked by a restorer and documented with its region, age, knot density and natural dyes. Free insured US shipping, a 14-day home trial and a signed certificate of authenticity.
